PERRY COUNTY, Tenn. - News 2 has obtained court documents that reveal new details about a teen accused of killing a sergeant earlier this week.

Christopher Farrar, 15, made his first court appearance Friday in Perry County Juvenile Court.

According to court documents, Farrar reportedly sent text messages the night before the Wednesday afternoon shooting at the Tennessee Army National Guard armory in Perry County.

In one of the messages he reportedly said he planned to “go to the armory and kill everyone until they kill me.”

The day of the shooting, documents show Farrar made a phone call to an individual, saying he was on the way to the armory and he was sorry.

Authorities believe he then opened fire around 4:30 p.m.

Six minutes later, Farrar reportedly made another call, saying he had "done it" and was going home to wash the gunpowder off and then bury his clothes.

The shooting left 45-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Michael Braden dead.

Farrar is being held without bond at the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
