Man arrested for Clarksville stabbing of mother, daughter

Authorities arrested a man Friday for the stabbing of two women in Clarksville.

Clarksville Police Department detectives and the Hopkinsville Police Department took James Choate into custody and booked him into the Christian County Jail in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Officials believe he had a hand in the attack of Crystal Furin and her mother Rockanne in the 600 block of Norris Drive early Friday morning.

Crystal is in critical condition, but expected to recover. Her mother remains in stable condition.

The original 911 caller said one of the women may have been shot, however authorities said both were stabbed.

The Clarksville Police Department is no longer looking for a second suspect or a suspect vehicle.
