Teen flown to Vanderbilt after knife accident

PORTLAND, Tenn. -

A teen boy was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a knife accident in the Portland area early Friday morning.

The Sumner County sheriff’s office told News 2 that the teenager accidentally wounded his leg with a knife.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on Blueberry Hill Road near Highway 109.

A helicopter landed just 15 minutes later to transport the victim.

There is no word of the teenager’s condition.
