NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are working to identify the gunman who shot and critically wounded a man outside the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Madison Thursday night.

Officers were called to the store’s parking lot on Gallatin Pike North at Old Hickory Boulevard around 6:30 p.m.

The victim, 29-year-old O’Bryan Williams, was shot multiple times and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Police told News 2 the suspect fled in a tan extended cab Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

Police believe the shooting to be drug-related. A bag of marijuana was recovered at the scene.

The suspect is described as a heavy set black man in his 20s.
