100 principals from around U.S. help build Inglewood playground

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

One hundred principals from grades kindergarten through eighth volunteered at Nashville’s Inglewood Elementary School Wednesday to help build new playground equipment.

The principals came from across the country to lend a helping hand at the school on Riverside Drive in the Inglewood neighborhood of east Nashville.

The school was the recipient of this year’s Community Service Day project.

“Inglewood Elementary is a neighborhood school serving bright and energetic students who will benefit greatly from this new playground,” said the school’s principal, Carrie Mickle.

Some of the things installed on the new playground were a zipline-like component called the ZipKrooz and the OmniSpin spinner.

The ZipKrooz will be the first in the area.
