CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

Logan Cox, and his pet dog became locked car inside a family car. The 3-year-old Lancaster County boy suffered heat stroke Wednesday after he climbed into the car which became locked and trapped the pair.  The boy died Sunday at Carolinas Medical Center and the dog also died.

Authorities say the boy left the house without the knowledge of an adult. Logan had been watching TV with his mother when she reportedly dozed off. No word on how long Logan was actually in the car before he was found.
