NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A taxi driver was shot in the Donelson area of Nashville early Friday morning.
Police told News 2 that the Yellow Cab driver was approached around 3:30 a.m. by two suspects wearing bandanas and black-hood shirts when he pulled into a driveway in the 1900 block of Laurinda Drive, near the Nashville International Airport.
The suspects allegedly pistol whipped the cab driver before shooting him in the leg.
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was last listed in critical condition. Officials said his injuries are non-life threatening.
Authorities said that the suspects may have been driving a dark black Nissan.
A female was inside the home and told police that she saw the suspects.
Shortly after police arrived, other cab drivers arrived to show their support.
