Traffic stop for littering leads to 2 arrests in Wilson County

MT. JULIET, Tenn. -

A traffic stop in Wilson County early Monday morning led to the arrest of two men wanted on active warrants.

According to Mt. Juliet police, an officer noticed trash flying out from the bed of a pickup truck while traveling on Lebanon Road around 8:30 a.m.

The truck was pulled over on Lebanon Road near north Greenhill Road and a computer check found the driver and passenger had warrants out from other agencies.

The driver, Bruce Tibbs, 45, of Old Hickory, was reportedly wanted for failure to appear in Wilson County.

Hi passenger, Shonn Tibbs, 43, also from Old Hickory, was taken into custody on a felony warrant out of Nashville for theft of a motor vehicle.

They were both booked into the Wilson County jail without incident.
