3 teenagers injured in Dickson County crash

DICKSON, Tenn. -

Three teenagers, ages 15, 16 and 17, were injured in a serious single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Dickson.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Double Branch Road just off East Piney Road under the Interstate 40 overpass.

Officials said the 16-year-old driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when they lost control, hit gravel on the side of the road and crashed into a ditch and several trees.

All three victims were airlifted in three different helicopters to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

The two passengers have been identified as Caitlin Felts, 15, and Christian Felts, 17.

As of Monday night, both passengers were listed in stable condition. The driver's condition was not immediately known.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol also said charges are pending against the driver.
