NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man was charged with vandalism and public intoxication after he allegedly shattered the glass of a door at the Metro jail in downtown Nashville early Sunday morning.

According to arrest warrants, two security officers inside the building saw Arianz Grant throw a brick at one of the doors causing the glass to shatter around 1 a.m.

When Grant, 25, was taken into custody, officers claim, he had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and had an obvious odor on his person.

The door was valued at over $500, according to an affidavit.

Grant’s bond was set at $7,500.
