Mufreesboro judge offers reward for info on stolen campaign signs

A Murfreesboro judge is offering a reward for information about stolen campaign signs.

Judge Ben Hall McFarlin says about 20 signs were stolen over the weekend along East Main Street.

While just about every one of his signs along that road was taken, no other campaign signs were stolen.

In addition to filing a report with Murfreesboro police, McFarlin went to Facebook and offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

He told News 2 that he and his wife are the ones who put signs up on behalf of the campaign.

He says not only does it mean extra work and costs, it undermines the political system and free speech.

McFarlin is running as an independent for his third term as General Sessions Court Judge in the August 7 election.
