A 25-year-old woman reported she was nearly abducted Tuesday morning in Spring Hill.
It happened around 10:18 a.m. on Cadence Drive in the Hardins Landing subdivision near the Williamson County line.
Police said the woman was walking around the grounds when the suspect attacked her from behind. She put up a fight, eventually breaking away from the suspect, who then took off.
"Now I'm going to think twice about going out for a walk on my own or going out for a jog," said concerned resident Jamie Wolf.
The victim's father told Nashville's News 2 his daughter, who is raising two young autistic children, received multiple bruises from the violent encounter. She is expected to make a full recovery. However, he added his daughter did not get a good look the suspect since he attacked her from behind.
"It's uneasy to know that there is no description because that could be anybody we see on a a daily basis," said Wolf.
Police said the perpetrator is described as a white male in his early 30s. He was last seen driving a white four-door car with lightly tinted windows.
Despite the setback, residents like Dee Serley said they refuse to live their lives in fear and feel it is just a matter of time before police find their man.
"We have a good police force here who they always seem to be around so that's a good thing," said Serley.
