NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on Ashland City Highway in Nashville Tuesday.

The aircraft landed just west of Briley Parkway around Noon.

The chopper was flying from Florida to Wisconsin and had just re-fueled at John C. Tune Airport in west Nashville.

Shortly after take-off, the engine lost power and the pilot was forced to land on the roadway.

The hard-landing buckled the helicopter’s tail rotor. Neither the pilot nor passenger was injured.

The FAA is investigating.
