MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The case against a Murfreesboro mother accused of nearly starving her baby was bound over to a grand jury Monday.

During her court appearance, a judge decided there would be no reduction in Rachel Henley’s $105,000 bond.

The 22-year-old was charged with reckless endangerment last month after police said she failed to give her infant son proper nutrition.

At the time of her arrest, her then three-month-old son, Viktor Anderson, was the size of an average two-week-old baby, authorities previously said.

The child’s father told News 2 Henley contacted doctors more than a dozen times because their son was having trouble keeping food down.

Henley is charged with aggravated child neglect and reckless endangerment. In addition to the charges she is prohibited from having contact with her son.

The baby and his two-year-old brother were placed in the care of Henley’s mother following her arrest.
