NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Three people were injured when the car they were riding in slammed into a bank in south Nashville Friday night.

The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. at the Bank of America on Thompson Lane and Sidco Drive.

Police say the driver lost control of the car and hit the fence of the Tennessee Glass Company.

It then struck a pillar at the bank a few yards away and flipped over.

The car and building were both seriously damaged.

The driver and two passengers were all taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Police plan to question the driver about the incident.

Further details were not immediately released.
