Woman wanted for car burglaries, identity thefts in Smyrna

SMYRNA, Tenn. -

Smyrna police are searching for a woman they believe is responsible for breaking into several cars and stealing people’s identities.

Police stated on June 13 several cars in both Smyrna and on Middle Tennessee State University’s campus had their windows smashed.

Purses were stolen out of each.

The woman in surveillance photos was caught using the victims’ identification and bank cards in order to withdraw thousands of dollars from bank accounts.

Police said she also used stolen credit and debit cards to buy Visa Gift cards with the victims’ funds.

The same female was also involved in a similar crime in Hendersonville on June 10.

All of the crimes occurred during daytime hours.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or has knowledge of the crimes is urged to contact Detective Jason Anderson with the Smyrna police at 615-459-6644.
