LEBANON, Tenn. -

The Lebanon man charged in the explosion that killed his in-laws in February was back in court Friday morning.

The motion hearing for Richard Parker only lasted a few minutes. During that time the judge once again stressed the urgency regarding the case and said he wants to keep it on schedule.

Parker, 49, was arrested in February and charged in the murders of his in-laws Jon and Marion Setzer.

Investigators say he delivered an explosive package to their Lebanon home on Vance Lane. Jon, 74, was instantly killed when the package exploded.

His wife Marion, 72, died of her injuries two days later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

According to investigators, there is a huge amount of evidence in the murder case.

Prosecutors said the majority of the scientific evidence has been tested and the results are back.

They are waiting on at least one more report on evidence that must be tested in a federal lab in Atlanta.

Another hearing date was set for August 5.

Parker's trial is scheduled to begin on October 28.

He faces two counts of felony first degree murder, two counts of premeditated murder and one count of unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon. Parker remains jailed in Wilson County on a $1 million bond and has since pled not guilty to the charges.

A motive has yet to be determined.
