NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Plans are in the works to potentially move a train crossing after five teenagers were injured when their car was struck by a train last weekend.

The incident happened Saturday at the intersection of McCrory lane Highway 70 in the Bellevue neighborhood of Nashville.

Five teens were inside a car when it collided with a train. They were all injured, but expected to recover soon.

One Metro councilman wants to take a look at the intersection and see if something can be done to make it more safe.

“There’s cars going four different ways and it just causes great confusion with the traffic, much less throw a train track with no crossing arms into the mix,” said Councilman Bo Mitchell.

There was another crash at the exact same intersection in May after the driver of an SUV was struck by a train. The woman in that crash also survived.
