Girl, 4, hit in head with rock during Bordeaux assault

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - West Hamilton Road A 4-year-old girl was injured after she was struck in the head with a rock as she waited with her mother and mother’s friend for the friend to get his haircut.

The trio was waiting in a car parked in the 3500 block of West Hamilton Road in Bordeaux. It was there the friend had arranged a meeting to get his haircut.

As they waited, a car pulled up and two men got out.

One of the men, later identified as Willie Holloway, threw a rock through the car’s windshield, hitting the little girl in the forehead. She was also injured by flying glass.

According to an affidavit, Holloway then began to repeatedly punch the man.

The second man, Kenneth Hawkins, is accused of joining the assault, attacking the victim with brass knuckles.

The victim was taken to Centennial Medical Center where he was treated for a concussion.

Holloway, 43, and Hawkins, 47, were later arrested. Both face aggravated assault charges.

Hawkins’ bond was set at $50,000. Holloway was released after posting $25,000 bond.

It is not known exactly what led to the attack.

The little girl is expected to recover.
