CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Clarksville woman is accused of defrauding her employer out of $400,000.

On June 6, the Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted 34-year-old Christina Pace on 17 counts of forgery.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation started investigating Pace on May 29, 2013.

During the investigation, officials learned that Pace was altering monthly balance sheets while she worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Credit Union.

This was reportedly done over a two-year period, costing the company $400,000.

Pace is also accused of misusing a corporate credit card for her personal use.

After Gateway Credit Union discovered what happened, Pace paid the money back, but was soon fired.

She turned herself in to the Montgomery County jail Thursday night and was released after posting $5,000 bond.
