Amkha Vetvong, 40, was found dead at his west Nashville home Thursday.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A 40-year-old man was found dead Thursday at his west Nashville home and police suspect foul play.
Metro police have not said how the victim, Amkha Vetvong, died but are investigating his death as a homicide. The coroner was en route to the home located in the 700 block of Ries Avenue off Robertson Avenue.
Police spokesperson Don Aaron said Vetvong’s body was discovered after his sister-in-law, Sherry Hargus, went to the home to mow the grass Thursday morning.
His body was found in the living room of the house near the front entrance.
Police said there is visible damage to the front door, though forced entry was discovered at a side door. A bullet hole is visible on the home’s front.
Family members say Vetvong was a kind man who kept to himself. He was employed as a nurse and reportedly last worked on Wednesday night.
His murder remains under investigation.
