Disabled woman found in woods in Humphreys County

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. - Authorities in Humphreys County said a disabled woman who walked away from her home Tuesday morning has been found safe.

Pamela Hilligas was located just before 10 p.m. in some woods, nearly 12 hours after she was last seen at the intersection of Arnold Hollow and Deer Creek roads.

Hilligas suffered a traumatic brain injury in a vehicle accident and is easily lost and confused, authorities said.

She was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

No additional information was released.
