Funeral set for Hickman County boy swept away by flood waters

CENTERVILLE, Tenn. - The funeral for the six-year boy with autism who was swept away by rushing flood waters in Hickman County last week will be held Tuesday.

Visitation for Tristen Demumbran will be held Monday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens in Centerville.

Tristen was riding in a car with his family to get food when the vehicle was swept away last Thursday morning in the Beaver Creek Dam area, near Centerville.

His body was recovered 48 hours later, around 10:30 a.m. Saturday in a drain pipe on private property, about three fourths of a mile away from where his family's car was overcome by water.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help with Tristen’s funeral expenses.
