Severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday afternoon, evening

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - On the heels of Monday evening's heavy rain and damaging winds, another round of storms pushed through parts of Middle Tennessee Tuesday.

While the threat of storms is over in the Nashville area, a severe storm watch remains in effect for eastern counties.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 6 p.m. A flash flood watch is remains effect for parts of the area until 7 p.m.  View watches and warnings at wkrn.com/weatheralerts.

A second round of storms is possible Tuesday evening, but likely won't be as strong as the initial round during the afternoon.

Highs Tuesday will reach the upper 70s with ample humidity and a south breeze at 10 to 20 miles per hour.
