Yesterday, there was a confirmed tornado in New Madrid, Mo. 

There was also a report of a tornado on the ground moving towards Unionville, TN as the same storm moved southeast into west TN.

By the time it reached McKenzie, TN the tornado was no longer on the ground, but check out the picture of the supercell thunderstorm (graphic one).

From a radar perspective, you can see the tornado signature in the opposing winds on NEXRAD doppler radar in graphic two as it was near New Madrid. (graphic 2).

There was even a debris signature in northwest TN from the storm (see graphic 3).

The opposing winds were still seen as the storm approached McKenzie, but were not as strong (graphic 4).

Isn't it incredible that we have such technology today?
