2 men arrested for brutally beating homeless man

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Two homeless men are in custody after they allegedly brutally beat a third homeless man in Clarksville Monday night.

The victim reported he was returning to his make-shift camp beneath a bridge when Bradley Ash reportedly struck him in the back of the head with a large stick.

After falling, the victim said Ash continued to hit him while a second man identified as Leo Duncan held the man down.

Clarksville Now reported the man was transported to a local hospital and sustained lacerations on the back of his head and face. He possibly suffered a broken arm as well.

The newspaper reported Ash initially denied his involvement in the assault, but later said he had been involved in a verbal confrontation with the man, but claimed he had “only slapped him in the face.”

Dried blood was found on both Ash and Duncan.

Both men were charged with aggravated assault. Ash remains jailed on a $20,000 bond, while Duncan is jailed on $10,000.
