NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A Taser was used on a man Wednesday morning after police say he displayed uncooperative and aggressive behavior toward officers.
Larry Robinson was arrested following the incident in the 200 block of Cedarview Drive after police responded to a home on reports of a domestic altercation involving gunshots.
When authorities arrived just before 1 a.m., Robinson was one of four adults at the home. Police stated he quickly became irritated while officers were investigating the situation.
Several weapons were also located outside of the residence.
Officers requested the adults, along with one juvenile, sit in the back of their vehicle while the investigation continued.
Robinson, however, reportedly began to behave aggressively while refusing to comply with the officer’s request.
When approached, authorities said Robinson threatened to assault an officer several times.
Police warned him that his verbal aggression, defensive body stance and non-compliance would not be tolerated, but Robinson allegedly failed to comply, leading an officer to deploy a Taser in order to gain compliance.
Robinson was handcuffed and booked into the Metro jail.
He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
