Woman held against her will in Hickman County standoff

BON AQUA, Tenn. -

A man was arrested Tuesday night in Hickman County after he reportedly held a woman inside a home against her will.

Authorities responded to the residence in the 1500 block of Bruce Drive on Bon Aqua, about 11 miles south of Dickson, around 7:50 p.m. in response to reports of a domestic disturbance.

Once officers arrived, they were confronted by 27-year-old Bryan Hudgins who fled back into the home shortly after.

Officers then learned a female victim was being held inside against her will.

After a 25-minute standoff, a special operations team was able to safely take the female out of the home.

Negotiations began with Hudgins, which last over three hours. Agents with the special operations team ultimately had to tase him in order to take him into custody.

Hudgins was charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, simple assault and resisting arrest.

The investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are expected.
