Sounds fall to Iowa 4-2

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sean Halton struck out with the tying runs on base and the Nashville Sounds fell to the Iowa Cubs 4-2 Tuesday at Greer Stadium.

After that a pair a of singles gave Halton a chance to tie or win the game, but he came up empty against Cubs reliever Blake Parker.

Sounds starter Brad Mills (4-1) retired the first 12 batters he faced.

Iowa got to him in the fifth inning though when Christian Villaneuva doubled in the first run of the game.  The Cubs added two more in the sixth on a throwing error by Mills.
