Sounds beat Iowa Cubs 4-1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Taylor Jungman turned in six dominant innings and the Nashville Sounds dumped the Iowa Cubs 4-1 Monday night at Greer Stadium in Nashville.

Jungman officially went six and 1/3 giving up just one run on his way to his second win of the season.  

The Sounds took the lead in the second inning with a pair of runs.  

Taylor Green started the scoring with an RBI single.  Jungman followed that with an RBI single of his own and the Sounds never trailed.

Caleb Gindl gave the Sounds and an insurance run in the sixth inning with his fifth home run of the season.

Donovan hand pitched a scoreless ninth striking out two for his 12th save of the season.

The Sounds and Cubs wrap up their four-game set Tuesday at Noon at Greer Stadium.
