2 dead in Roane County train, car collision

ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. - Two people were killed and two others were injured when their car was struck by a train in Roane County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 22-year-old Roderick Drummond and 18-year-old Jadah Gallaher died in the Friday night crash.

Two other men in the car were injured when the 2000 Nissan Maxima hit the train at a crossing near Tennessee 27.

They have been identified as 21-year-old Darius Gallaher, who was driving, and 20-year-old Hunter Crass.

Both Gallaher and Crass were taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in critical condition, according to WATE.

The train conductor was not injured and no charges have been filed.
