DESTIN, Florida - Friday, the Southeastern Conference and Big 12 Conference reported record revenue distributions nearing $300 million.

SEC commissioner Mike Slive announced that the SEC will have a record $292.8 million to distribute between 14 member schools in the conference which is $3 million more than the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

In total, the SEC generated a total of $309.6 million.

Each school in the conference will receive nearly $21 million thanks to the increased revenue.

Much of the revenue comes from television deals, which means the SEC's total revenue is expected to increase with the launch of the SEC Network in August.

The Big 12 also had a record year. They reported a revenue distribution of $220.1 million, and each member team in the conference will receive $23 million.
