SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -

A man in Springfield was burned when his Harley Davidson motorcycle exploded in flames Thursday night.

According to Smokey Barn News, Charles Adcock pulled into the Rileys Country Charm Market on the corner of Highway 431 and Barren Plains Road around 7:30 p.m.

As he was refueling his motorcycle, a little gasoline spilled on the ground and the bike.

When Adcock rolled away from the spill, the bike exploded into flames.

He was taken to Northcrest Medical Center with burns to both of his arms. His injuries were not serious.

Adcock is the father-in-law to race car driver Bobby Hamilton, Jr.

Hamilton said Adcock had two other accidents on his motorcycle in the past. Each time he walked away without serious injuries.
