Woman kidnapped in Murfreesboro, forced to withdraw $8K

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - An Antioch woman reported to police she was kidnapped at gunpoint from a Murfreesboro parking lot before being forced to withdraw thousands in cash from her bank account.

It happened in the Kmart parking lot on NW Broad Street around Noon Thursday.

Mattie Tulloss said she was forced to drive to the SunTrust Bank on Heritage Park Drive to withdraw $8,000.

According to the teller, Tulloss did not show any signs of distress and split the money into two envelopes before leaving the bank with one of the female suspects.

Tulloss reported after withdrawing the money she drove herself and the suspects back to the Kmart parking lot where they got out of her vehicle and remain at large.

The first suspect is described as a black woman around 50 years old. She is around five feet, three inches tall and has blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a white sleeveless blouse and plaid pants.

The second suspect is a heavyset black woman with black hair who is around 60 years old.

The crime remains under investigation.
