Metro police said Joseph Kirk, 31, and Irish Adam, 20, were drinking and got into an argument in a parking lot behind a Broadway business around 9:40 p.m.

Each had knives and stabbed one another. Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and were treated and released.

A knife was found in Kirk’s jacket on the scene.

A second knife was found in Adam’s clothing.
