NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A new luxury high rise development is headed to a trendy part of town.

Developers just announced information on a $75 million project planned for the Gulch called Crescendo.

It will be a 23 story luxury apartment complex that will include restaurants, retail space and a 600 car parking garage.

Crews will tear down Meyers Flooring Company at 614 Division Street and rebuild it on a different spot on the same 1.8 acre lot to make space for the new complex.

“They are going to be modern feel, with high ceilings and lots of glass and modern amenities,” said developer Travis Kelty.

Artist renderings are not ready yet, but Kelty said it will be impressive.

The rate to live in the area currently averages about $235 per square foot.

Grad student Hadlye Rodden lives in the Gulch and pays $1,300 a month for a 600 square foot space.

“I wanted to move here because it's young and up and coming. It's developing and growing. There's a grocery store right here and it is super dog friendly,” said Rodden.

The Crescendo development will be located a few blocks away for the much anticipated Twelve-Twelve high rise. Those spaces are for sale-to-own and not for rent.

“It's a supply and demand matter, and the demand is there,” said Brian Taylor, a broker at Karr Commercial, LLC.

Developers will break ground on the Crescendo at the end of 2014. It is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
