WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. - Four people, including an 86-year-old man, were injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 109 in Wilson County Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities said Tony Clayborne was traveling southbound in a Ford F-150 when he swerved and crossed the centerline, striking another vehicle head-on in an effort to avoid hitting stopped traffic.

The 51-year-old driver was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

A second passenger in his truck and two people in the second vehicle involved in the crash were also transported to Vanderbilt for treatment.

Both drivers involved in the crash face charges for not wearing their seat-belts.

Clayborne is also charged with roadways marked for traffic.
