NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville Rescue Mission held a special birthday bash Thursday afternoon to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

The event, which ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featured live entertainment, lunch and a tour of the new upgrades to the facility.

There was also a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the completion of the Nashville Rescue Mission’s beautification project.

It includes a new entrance, improved parking and an outdoor recreational area.

According to their Web site, the Nashville Rescue Mission works to help the homeless by offering programs that focus on spiritual growth, education and finding employment.
