CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville man was arrested Friday for allegedly stabbing his wife because she was wearing his socks.

According to The Leaf Chronicle, Sean Jones grabbed his wife’s neck as she was leaving their apartment and told her to give back his socks.

The woman removed the socks and got into a friend’s car. According to the paper, Jones followed her with a large knife and began beating on the windshield.

When his wife got out of the car to stop him, Jones allegedly stabbed her behind the ear.

The knife left a small puncture wound on her neck.

Jones’ wife told police her husband had been drinking at the time.

He was charged with aggravated assault and booked into the Montgomery County jail on $5,000 bond.
