Pedestrian struck on I-24 off-ramp in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A pedestrian was hit by a car late Tuesday morning on Interstate 24 in Clarksville.

It happened on the Exit 4 off-ramp from I-24 West around 11:30 a.m.

Clarksville police said a vehicle ran off the road and struck a power pole and the pedestrian.

The pedestrian’s condition wasn’t immediately known but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The Exit 4 off-ramp was closed while crews removed the damaged power pole and downed power lines

In addition to the downed power pole, traffic lights in the area also weren't working.

Tuesday evening, Clarksville police told News 2 the I-24 exit ramp had reopened.
