CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

All lanes of Interstate 24 west in Montgomery County have reopened after being shut down for about six hours following a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.

The accident, which involved three tractor trailers, occurred between mile markers 15 and 16 near Clarksville around 10:40 a.m.

In addition to the semi-trucks, a smaller, box truck was also involved.

While the westbound lanes were shutdown, traffic was being diverted off the interstate at exit 19.

Drivers encountered backups up to 25 miles long.

All lanes of the interstate reopened around 5 p.m.
