Actor arrested and charged in the death of his wife, police say
LOS ANGELES -
Michael Jace, who starred in the television show "The Shield," has been charged in the shooting death of his wife.
Police in Los Angeles took Jace into custody after the discovery of 40-year-old April Jace, shot dead at their home. Investigators questioned Jace, 51, at the couple's home Monday night and booked him on a homicide charge early Tuesday, according to police officials.
Jace's role in FX police drama "The Shield" was his longest-running role. He played Julien Lowe, a rookie officer in an inner-city Los Angeles police precinct. He also is known for his roles in several episodes of "Southland," as well as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Private Practice," "The Mentalist," "Burn Notice" and "NYPD Blue."
He also has some movie titles to his career including "State of Play," and "Forrest Gump."
According to April's Facebook page, the couple celebrated 10 years of marriage last year.
