ADAMS, Tenn. -

The body of 32-year-old man who fell into the Red River while canoeing on Saturday in Robertson County has been found.

Charles Gourley, 32, was canoeing with his girlfriend, 28-year-old Lacey Henson, shortly after Noon when he somehow fell out of the canoe.

He was not wearing a life jacket.

Henson tried to save him, but the water was too cold.

Gourley’s body was found Wednesday morning about two miles from where he fell in.

Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol played a factor in the incident.

No additional information was released.
