Former Vanderbilt start Earl Bennett joins Cleveland Browns

Former Vanderbilt star Earl Bennett could be catching passes from Johnny Manziel this season.

Bennett agreed to terms with the Cleveland Browns Thursday.

The Browns also agreed to terms with former Cowboys star receiver Miles Austin.

Reports are Cleveland will lose pro bowler Josh Gibson to a season long suspension.

Bennett played his first six seasons in Chicago after the Bears took him in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

He has 185 career catches for 2,227 yards and 12 TD’s.

Last season he caught 32 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns.
