TURKEY - A man appearing on a Turkish TV dating show admitted to killing his wife and another woman with whom he had a relationship.

USA Today reports 62-year-old Sefer Calinak casually made the admission while he was a guest on Flash TV's "The Luck of The Draw."

The studio audience was shocked when Calinak explained how he killed his first wife. He said the pair, who were cousins, eloped when they were 17 years old. Her parents were pressuring her to marry a widower at the time.

According to Calinak, the relationship changed after they got married.

"Her behavior changed. The nephew of the man who wanted to marry her started to come to our village. I was jealous and I killed her, in a way," Calinak said.

Calinak later remarried and separated from his second wife, with whom he had two children.

He then started an affair with a married woman named Coquette. Calinak admitted on the show to killing her after they argued about her not leaving her husband.

"I killed her after she tried to kill me," he said. "She was accidentally killed when I swung the ax,” he told the audience.

Calinak served a prison sentence for both murders and was released through an amnesty program.

After he revealed the murders, the TV host asked Calinak to leave the show, but he refused.

The show's producer, Gözde Kurt, said Calinak told them before the program that he had murdered someone, but he was allowed on the show because he had served his sentence.
