Clarksville man arrested in Walmart parking lot shooting

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A man police say fired a single shot at a woman’s car in the parking lot of a Walmart just outside of Clarksville was arrested early Thursday morning.

Kevin Rozelle, 44, was arrested just before 2 a.m. and charged with criminal attempted homicide following the shooting at the Walmart in Sango, Tenn., a rural town about five miles east of Clarksville.

Authorities responded to the shooting around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and learned Rozelle allegedly followed the victim into the parking lot and fired one round into the back of her car.

The victim was not injured nor was anyone else.

Police said Rozelle fled the scene prior to their arrival.  An arrest warrant was issued late Wednesday night and served early Thursday morning.

Officials said the incident was domestic-related and not random.

Rozelle was jailed on $500,000 bond.
