Woodbury man injured in dump truck crash on State Route 96

ARRINGTON, Tenn. - A 58-year-old Woodbury man was injured in a single vehicle collision on State Route 96 in Arrington late Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred around 11:45 a.m. at Wilson Pike, just east of Cox Road.

Authorities said the dump truck Jimmy Arnold was driving exited the roadway and struck a culvert before overturning and crashing into a tree.

He was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. His condition was not immediately known.

State Route 96 was closed for several hours immediately following the crash as authorities investigated.

Arnold will be charged with failure to maintain lane of traffic.
