NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police surrounded the perimeter of a juvenile facility in Nashville early Wednesday morning after six teenagers caused a disturbance.

The situation began before 4:30 a.m. at the Woodland Hills Youth Development Center on Stewarts Lane in northwest Nashville, not far from Briley Parkway and the Cumberland River.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Children Services told News 2 that six teens broke the windows of their dorm room to escape and also broke furniture.

Employees called police to help get the teenagers to settle down. Metro officers surrounded the facility to ensure no one escaped.

The teenagers were ultimately secured around 5:15 a.m. No one was injured.

Woodland Hills is home to 94 teenagers in total, most of which have committed at least three felonies.
