MT. JULIET, Tenn. -

One person is dead and three others injured following a head-on collision last week on Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on May 6 near the Mt. Juliet Little League ball fields.

Police said a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Lebanon Road when it lost control and struck a Ford Explorer traveling westbound head-on.

The driver of the pickup truck, 22-year-old Justin Odom, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died Monday night.

The driver of the Explorer, 49-year-old Timothy Cole, and his passenger, 43-year-old Tracie Cole, were transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt by ambulance in critical condition.

Following the initial impact, a Mazda M3 rear-ended the Ford Explorer. The driver, Kristina Wilkerson, 22, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

A witness told police Odom’s pickup fishtailed prior to striking the Explorer.

Lebanon Road was closed for nearly two hours while the crash was investigated.

No charges were filed.
