Man shocked while painting in Germantown

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A painter working on a building at the corner of Madison Street and 6th Avenue North in Germantown was shocked Tuesday when the lift he was in made contact with power lines.

The man lost consciousness at one point but woke up after emergency personnel arrived.

Nashville Fire Department District Chief Paul King told News 2 when they brought the man down from the lift he was alert and talking to paramedics.

He did suffer some burns and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Nashville Electric Service crews responded to the scene and shut off power.
